We at Ringwood East Private Child Care and Kindergarten aim to provide a loving, warm, safe, nurturing, educational and stimulating environment, where  children can learn and grow. Together with families we ensure children’s individual needs and rights are recognised and respected. Children learn best in a nurturing, child-initiated play-based environment that fosters self-confidence, trust, creativity, autonomy and acceptance of individual differences. The staff establishes positive personal interaction, nurturing each child's growth and education.

 

We plan for all areas of a child's development and education: cognitive, emotional, social, creative, and physical. Individuality is acknowledged and respected as each child explores a child-centred environment at her or his own pace. A strong sense of identity and competence is developed as children are helped to feel good about themselves, their abilities, and uniqueness. Each classroom at the centre will implement developmentally appropriate practices, achieving curriculum goals in the context of a caring community of learners in which all children can develop.

 

We at our centre embrace diversity and multiculturalism to create a rich, inclusive environment where all children can thrive and learn from one another.  We reflect diversity through our programming and daily experiences will help to support this.

Throughout the year our centre holds many special events where families are invited to participate in their child's day at the centre or to assist with incursions, working bees or make any suggestions to the children's learning program. We also invite community members to educate children and families.

Each week children have the opportunity to participate in a music program run by Rhythm & Moves, children have the opportunity to play different musical instruments, and story props, and learn a range of songs in English, Sign language and other languages spoken within the community.
